Performance returns of our flagship portfolio model, net of fees:
Updated August 28, 2026
Years of research have gone into developing the fundamental criteria we filter by to select the stock positions held in our Mainsail Equity Portfolio Model. We maintain strict standards for companies with strong, sustainable growth potential while avoiding paying exorbitant, inflated prices for them. By retaining the flexibility to deploy cash at opportune times, we can adjust our sails as winds change.
Our philosophy is simple:
Investing + Logic = Better Results
| One-Year Turnover Rate | Expense Ratio | Benchmark | Category | Number of Holdings |
| 27% | 0% added to AUM Fees | S&P 500 Index YTD Return 13.79% As of 8/28/2026 | Focused Growth | 15 As of July, 2026 |
A good company is only a good investment at a good price.

FAQ:
How can I invest in the Mainsail Equity Portfolio Model?
The Mainsail Equity Portfolio Model is only available to investment portfolios managed by Northshore Wealth Management. The model can be held inside an IRA, Roth, SEP IRA, taxable brokerage, UTMA, and most other account registrations. New investment clients are welcome. Portfolio management begins at $200k per household. AUM fees apply.
What is the fee?
All investment portfolios managed by Northshore Wealth Management are charged an annual AUM fee of 1% of the total assets in the portfolio, regardless of what the portfolio is invested in, in line with the fiduciary standard.
Where will my account be held?
All investment portfolios managed by Northshore Wealth Management are held in brokerage at Altruist Financial, a full-service brokerage platform that operates just like Fidelity or Schwab but is only available to investors through professional asset management firms. Altruist Financial charges no additional brokerage fees. Your 1% annual AUM fee is the only fee you will be charged.
Can I own other investmetns as well?
Absolutely. Whether your other investments are held here or at another firm, you are the captain, and we are simply the navigation system. You ultimately decide what you do with your money. We just advise you. Some of our clients invest only a portion of their assets with us. Some invest all of their assets with us, across multiple asset types. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and we’re flexible to offer our services in a format that best serves you.
How do I open an account?
A financial advisor at Northshore Wealth Management will work with you to help determine what type of investment account or portfolio would be most suitable for you, and that advisor will gather the necessary information to open an account for you. You will be sent new account paperwork to sign electronically via e-mail. If you are transferring assets from another firm, our staff will coordinate that transfer as well, and you will be sent an account transfer authorization to sign electronically. Our advisors work to handle as much of the legwork as they can for you. You will be invited to sign in to Altruist Financial and register for a username and password so you can log in to view your account and statements.
How often will I meet with my financial Advisor?
It’s up to each individual client to determine how often they would like to speak to us. We maintain a limited clientele so that our clients get as much of our time as they need. You are welcome to reach out to your advisor as often as you’d like. We like to connect with our clients quarterly, at a minimum, via phone or web meeting, but sometimes just an e-mail will suffice. We have clients with very busy travel schedules, so we respect their time and only reach out if necessary.
