Today, the market is overreacting to the news of a Chinese AI company coming into play. I won’t discount the potential of the new company, but I will discount the current market behavior as temporary. Volatility creates opportunity. We’re deploying cash in the Mainsail Equity Model to capitalize on this sudden drop in price in some of our strategically selected stock holdings. Other market strategists foresee strong earnings reports later this week, and that should turn this dip around quickly. Market volatility is always expected, and we position ourselves to capitalize on it when it arrives. The S&P 500 index is projected to reach 6,700 points by the end of 2025. That’s a 14% gain from where it began the year. Any dips we can capitalize on along the way will serve to our advantage and maximize our opportunity to capture growth. In the Mainsail model, market dips are not to be feared; they are to be capitalized upon.
As for investing in this new Chinese AI company, I typically only invest in American companies. There is enough opportunity for growth in the U.S. that venturing abroad isn’t necessary. The United States maintains strong regulations that protect investors from deception. If a company makes false claims on its balance sheet, lies about its earnings or debts to mislead its investors, or misrepresents the capabilities and value of its products, in the US, that constitutes fraud. People go to jail for that. The US devotes a significant portion of its government spending to oversight to maintain the integrity of American investments for everyone around the world.
You hired me to handle this, and that’s what I’m doing. Please go spend your day lowering your stress level. Here’s a reminder of some healthy ways to reduce stress today.
- Exercise to your favorite music.
- Go take in the views by the water. Sit on a park bench and silently enjoy nature by focusing on the sounds of the birds, the leaves and branches, and the waves.
- Play with pets.
- Get a chore done that you’ve been putting off. You’ll feel better when you’ve accomplished the task.
- A hug lasting longer than 20 seconds releases oxytocin. Oxytocin lowers stress, reduces blood pressure, and enhances your immune system, not to mention strengthening your bond with your loved one.
Live long and live well,
Alyse
